Gourds are sized by diameter at the widest part of the gourd (not by height, or circumference). Gourds vary in shape and size making no two gourds alike. The types of gourds I use in my designs are Bottle, Canteen, Kettle, Pear and Tall Body gourds.

Small- Width 5" to 6"

Medium-Width 7" to 8"

Large-Width 9" to 11"

Extra Large-Width 12" or larger
